Hi, my name is Ernest Kim and this site is my repository for thoughts on sneakers, marketing, technology, travel, food and anything else that catches my fancy.
I originally created Kicksology.net back in 2000 as a performance-oriented resource for sneaker fanatics and, over the course of a few years, the site grew to the point that it was drawing more traffic than either Nikebasketball.com or Rbk.com. Ko evolved into a widely recognized brand within the sneakerhead community, with extensions into apparel and accessories, but I shut it down in 2004 so that I could re-enter human society.
Before starting Kicksology.net, I co-founded a Web-design start-up called 37signals and, since shutting Ko down, I’ve spent time as a Global Product Line Manager at Nike, a Digital Strategist at Wieden+Kennedy and am now back at the Swoosh, helping to drive product and platform innovation as part of the Nike Explore Team (formerly known as the Innovation Kitchen).
Though I work for a big company, the opinions expressed here are my own and in no way represent the views of my employer.
